LESLEY JAYNE

A Wonderful artist from England, Lesley Jayne has done some amazing work in the early 1980's (her famous hit being Rockin' with my Radio). Until now, her singles have been extremley rare and hard to find on eBay. I managed to find 6 in existance (Rockin' With My radio/My Isle of wight, Sailing Away/Beachcomber, Greased Lightning/Hot Promises, Hot Promises (Dance Version)/He's Telling Me Lies, and Not to Be/Do Not Disturb. But Tonight, I was able to find a complete compilation of her work from 1981 to 1985 (Including some songs that I couldn't find or know that existed). Click the Links Below to get your hands on rare singles.... And I do Plan to sell the Maxi singles on eBay very soon... Stay Tuned.

And I managed to find a very rare single of hers from 1980. STAIRWAY/Tell ME. It is spelt Jane on the cover, and i'm not sure if it's the same artist but I guess we have one way to find out... This compilation doesn't have this single.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen-A Quick Review

Well what can I say? It was badly panned by critics but i say screw them. This Transformers was more entertaining than the first and moved at a fairly quick pace. The length kinda made me have second thoughts to see it (running at 2 and a half hours long) but it was pretty much non stop action and very little a dull moment. What I liked most was it threw in almost everything, action, comedy, and some drama. At times it felt very cliche and threw in elements similar to star wars, gremlins, and Indiana Jones. In terms of plot it was so-so, it felt empty at times and a bit weak. But as you watch the movie you tend to neglect the plot and enjoy the action. In terms of humor there is a lot of innuendo and some crude off beat humor, and sometimes there were some corny jokes. At times I laughed my head off and maybe chuckled a bit, but after a while it wears kind of thin. Cinematography wasn't too bad, the filming in Egypt. Thought that was remarkable and helped take your mind off the "dragging" scenes. So It was worth the time to stand in a huge line to see. I wasn't really blown away by it or thought it was spectacular. But it was enjoyable and very entertaining. So how often is a sequel better than the first? Let's see here, The second terminator was better than the original, The road warrior was more entertaining than Mad Max, Aliens was more action packed than the original, and for some reason, I liked Lethal Weapon 2 better than the first. (Probably because of Joe Pesci too). And what surprises me is that this movie was sure pushing an R rating. The violence was somewhat strong enough to get there, but I guess we live in an era of seeing this all on TV and what have you these days. On a final note, it did good to keep up with the times (the menthioning of Obama, and I heard "swine flu" in there too.

So do check it out if you have the chance. It's Definetly "more than Meets the Eye" and soon James Rolfe should have his review up on www.cinnemasacre.com. I hope he feels the same way.
